BuFoon Lin: Blanketeer
…
Right after I dislocated my shoulder patting myself on the back for spending a few hours a week walking dogs and cleaning cat cages at the Animal Shelter, I got this email from BuFoon Lin:
…
Keekwullie, attached are some photos of the Linus quilts I’ve been making. Here’s a link to the Linus page …
… to explain my tiny bit of do-goodery.
Love to y’all,

“Opoots Nanitch Skookum” and “Keekwullie” are names given to Lin and to me by BuFoon and Native American, John Joseph. I think my name means “Cakes from Woolly Buffaloes for Brains,” but Lin’s means something about “Seeing Big,” which explains why she is part of Project Linus, an organization that offers this mission statement:
…
First, it is our mission to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers.”
…
Wow.
Here are a few pics of her Big Seeing:

In case you need to educate yourself about quilting, as I did, here’s the Wikipedia entry:

Lin presently lives in Kansas, with her hubby, but she once lived in the Northwest, as do the other BuFoons. Perhaps she’ll appreciate this observation from Seattle’s founder of the divinely inspired Amazon.com:
