without comments

I am ready to head out the door to do a BuVu Do Goodery at the school. I have taken on the task of trying to teach a young man to read. He is 9 years old and has been at home most of his life and this is his first experience with school. Of course they put him in Special Ed.  I really don’t think he has a disability, he just has not had any formal schooling.  So the challenge is to get him reading and then try and get him up to speed in a year or so, so he can join his fellow 9 and 10 year olds in mainstream classes.  First the reading, then the math. That is if his parents allow him to stay in school. We shall see how it unfolds.

Okay, BuFoon John, just be careful what you teach him to read from. Remember the time you were using the Swimsuit Edition of Sports Illustrated? That didn’t sit so well with the teacher, although the kid loved it.

JUST KIDDING!
