The BuDao

Minutes after posting this, we got a “Like” from The Prophet. We’re feeling The Anointing!

It’s as if we had a kensho, a little glimpse of enlightenment. Or, if we may, a Bu-Duh: another step on The Path to Bu-Duh-hood.

The image is created from the Dao symbol and an image of Mawu-Lisa, an androgynous Creator deity in the expansive Vudun pantheon.

Nana-Buluku, the supreme deity of the Fon people (West African ethnic and linguistic group, mainly in Benin and Nigeria and mainly practicing Vudun), was the creator of the beginnings of the universe. Nana-Buluku gave birth to Mawu-Lisa, the Great God, a Creator with two aspects – female (Mawu) and male (Lisa). Mawu-Lisa completed the creation of the universe and gave birth to other deities.
